Live from Spook Central...

The British television series Most Haunted has finally announced their location for this year's Most Haunted Live episode. Yvette Fielding and the crew will be heading across the pond once more to one of America's "most haunted" locations: Gettysburg.

The show will feature several haunted hot spots throughout the town: from taverns and inns to farms and historic homes. As always, there will be interactive components for home viewers including live viewer feedback and webcams.

The episode will air on The Travel Channel on October 10th from 8:00 PM to 3:00 AM EST.

That should make for a fun episode, are they going to broadcast from a specific location there, or all over the place?

It'll be from several places at different times during the show. There are too many haunted areas to just pick one!

Okay, I have never been a fan of this show, principally because of the "screamers". These are the individuals along on the hunt that don't seem to serve any larger purpose than freaking out in the dark. If they can liquor them up or slip them a sedative, I might be willing to watch again.

Speaking of G'burg, I saw something on the history channel where a member of a local group, via the use of red filters, was able to filter out extraneous wavelengths of light to reveal apparitions of civil war soldiers at the battlefield. I thought this was very fascinating and needed more testing. Anyone had luck doing this sort of technique?

Most haunted has always left me a little nonplussed. From the screamers to the silly parlor tricks of Acorah and Fielding it just was too goofy for my tastes.

I just hope the good folks at the historic homes remove all their good antiques from the tables so when Fielding starts with the table tipping and ouija boards she doesn't knock anything off! :)

As for the red filters... I'll ask Paul about it. Light and photography are his specialties.
