Running on Empty...

In case you hadn't noticed, I haven't felt too much like blogging much lately. I've just been feeling a bit worn out and drained lately with so many things. Not in a negative way, just in the sense of feeling exhausted.

Last night, the paranormal group had a bit of a meeting. Though we all decided to remain friends, we reached an agreement that it might be best to split off and form two separate groups, based on region. It isn't easy for everyone to travel to everything and many of us have different views and opinions. So instead of risking the loss of friendships, we'll act as two separate entities... and then get together here and there to spend time as friends. One thing I have learned in life is mixing business with friendship or anything else for that matter is never easy... and often ends in disaster. But I'd rather lose a business associate than a friend.

After a very late dinner at the Boneyard, we watched Big Gay Sketch Show until around 3:30 AM. I had a difficult time getting to sleep, and had to be up early this morning. I made it home, tried staying awake, but felt too sick from the lack of sleep. I took a long nap in the afternoon. I feel somewhat rejuvenated, but still not quite human.

Still, I have a feeling a nice cool shower will do wonders...

Sometimes it's best to separate rather than risk bad feelings.

SPI actually has two "groups", if you will. We have the folks based in Phoenix who handle North Central and Northern Arizona and then us, based in Tucson than handle South Central and Southern Arizona.

It just worked out to be better since Arizona is a large state and it was a pain with gas prices going up continually to be driving 2, 3 or more hours to an investigation. Besides, we both had more than enough to keep us busy!

Of course, we use the same methodology and are part of the same group so we do come together on big investigations and sometimes members from one team will investigate with the other if needed. But it keeps long trips to a minimum!

I think both groups are going to be more successful now that they have separated.

I agree with Bill but also have to say like I wrote on Evies blog that I need a little bit of time for all to sink in as I am still kind of emotional as it is a breakup, a change. As you know too I am not a fan of change but do know this was a change for the common good. I know and need to trust more that the friendships will never end and good times will keep rolling on with all of us. I will see this in action and it will prove to me that maybe some things have changed that they are still the same. I will not loose any one of you as friends and will be seeingvyou and the rest all the time. Good luck to you and the new group!
